"tl;dr: State Farm will charge you for canceled policies for years, deny a request for a refund for hundreds of dollars that they do not deserve, sign you up for policies that you have never requested, provide no explanation why, and blame shift that it all has something to do with an automatic transfer of service from one State Farm provider to another. Quick history of my experience with State Farm: Before 2020: Held a Renter's Insurance Policy Summer 2020: Requested cancelation of the Renter's Policy as well as quotes for Homeowner's Insurance. The quotes were not favorable, so I went with a different insurer. Summer 2020 - Spring 2025: State Farm continues to charge me for a Renter's Policy despite my cancelation request. I, for my own fault, fail to notice that they have continued to take money from me for a policy that I no longer hold on a property at which I no longer reside. Spring 2025: I contact State Farm to request a refund for the $600 that they charged me for a policy I no longer wanted. They deny my request, but state they'll cancel this dead Renter's Policy. Summer 2025: I receive a bill for a NEW Renter's Policy that I did NOT request, and realize that State Farm has been charging me AGAIN for this new policy, despite me not holding any State Farm Policies. I contact State Farm and ask why they signed me up for a new Renter's Policy. They cannot provide any information as to why that policy was started, but agree to cancel it. I request reconsideration for my earlier refund request since they are clearly prone to not canceling policies when asked to by a customer. They deny my request. As of the writing of this review, State Farm has not canceled this Renter's Policy that they established for me without my consent, for a property that I OWN, not rent, nor have they provided a refund for either policy, neither of which I wanted or agreed to!"
